Ics celebrates their 10th anniversary with launch of Ics Kid’s Art Festival 12-13 September 2009

Aug. 24, 2009 - PRLog -- ICS CELEBRATES THEIR 10th ANNIVERSARY WITH THE LAUNCH OF
ICS KID’S ART FESTIVAL ON 12-13 SEPTEMBER 2009

Geneva, Switzerland – 24 August 2009 – ICS, a Geneva-based fiduciary firm, expert in financial, fiscal, accounting and human resource services, this year is celebrating their 10th anniversary with “ICS Kid’s Art Festival”, the first visual arts festival organized and sponsored by ICS, featuring works by children aged from 6 to 15 years living in Suisse romande and neighbouring France.

During the past 10 years ICS has provided space for young artists to exhibit and promote their paintings on our premises. This year we have decided to continue to support art and the local community through this art festival by giving the kids a unique opportunity to participate to a two day art atelier with professional artists that will take place in our offices at 29, Quai du Mont Blanc, in the same historic residence, where the renowned Swiss painter, Ferdinand Hodler, used to live, on 12 and 13 September between 10:00 and 18:00. For one weekend the premises of ICS will be transformed into an art studio ready to host up to 200 kids.

The theme of ICS Kid’s Art Festival, "My Alps", is inspired by the work of Ferdinand Hodler, who has painted a significant number of Alpine scenes, landscapes, and a lot of works portraying lakes and mountains from his studio located in the same building as ICS. We chose this theme to encourage children to "look" and "connect" with their surroundings and learn about the work and life of Mr. Hodler.

An international jury panel consisting of top level art historians, seasoned art business professionals and art connoisseurs will select 3 winners out of the 2 different age categories, followed by a 90-day exhibition of the kid’s paintings and a vernissage with winner announcements and prize remittal on 5 December 2009. Finally a calendar will be published with the children’s paintings. All proceedings from any sales of the paintings and calendar will be donated to a charity.

For the last 10 years we have supported local artists by providing them a space to exhibit and promote their paintings. ICS has organized, since its foundation in 1999, more than 30 exhibitions on our premises.
